Fun fact: if you know your feline body language, you’ll notice that the lynx is deferring to the housecat. As far as these two are concerned, the housecat is the higher-ranking cat.
OH MY GOD
The story is so sweet.

WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT YOU ABUSIVE ANIMAL THE PUPPIES HAVE DONE NOTHING TO YOU WHAT THE HELL
This is actually the way baby goats socialize and create bonds with their want to be friends. :)
In the goat’s mind: ”hello furry sausages let’s be friends okay”
In the puppies’ minds: “jeSUS CHRIST WHAT THE HELL”
Accurate representation of how I try to make friends
Hello furry sausages. Wow.

I really wish people would quit telling me that my picture reminds them of Spirited Away. I know this is only the second comment, but unless it’s straight up fanart or I mention being inspired, it’s annoying. That’s how I feel about my work. I’ve had this sort of “looks like…”/”kinda reminds me of…” comments online and irl. My exception being “were you at all inspired” questions to which I answer yes/no. It’s these sort of things where I can’t tell if someone is trying to subtly accuse me of copying or not. Otherwise, I don’t enjoy these types of comparisons as it distracts from my piece. In the case of Incomplete, no. It had nothing to do with spirited away. My stingray princess was inspired by the stories of how dried up stingrays were said to look like angels (it’s a weird story, but I liked it) and how mantas are described as flying in wildlife documentaries. Spirited away didn’t cross my mind at all. I was drawing it in speech class. I have drawn things and much to my disliking, turn out too similar in appearance to another published or copyrighted look when I was trying to make it appear differently. Anyways, I’m sure that if I were to have uploaded the full/uncropped pic I would not get these comparisons. Or maybe not.
